Happy Birthday to ME! Weeeeee! I am 34 years young today.

I looked at myself in the mirror this morning and reflected on the past year, where did my 33^rd year go? And where am I going next as I turn 34?

Flashes of my past went across my face from childhood to adolescence to now. Ten years ago, 24 years young, I was teaching high school in Chicago, painting murals and dancing. I was giving clairvoyant readings and feeling the urge to reinvent myself and move to a new city. I listened to that calling.

Lived in Tucson. Now in Vegas. Closed an old business. Launched a new one. Buried dead dreams. Painted new ones. Traveled to gorgeous lands. Learned receptivity, living in the flow, and being supported. My life has evolved spiritually, emotionally and physically. I’ve died and been reborn over and over again, continuously embarking on new experiences for myself.

Each endeavor calls for reinvention.

To reinvent is to make new. Scrap the old and start fresh. Transform. Give birth. Revive your Soul.

Growth guides me. And with growth comes reinvention. You can’t rock new skin when the old just doesn’t fit.

Life, your body, and Soul feels tight, constricted, itchy, and restless.

I asked myself what is it that keeps me going, because there are days when I question the path I have chosen and that has chosen me. Having your own business, being purposeful, committing to living in Spirit, practicing love, forgiveness and compassion has not been an easy road. But it has gifted me with the spark to continuously grow and stretch beyond my comfort zone.

You define you. The life you live is by your design. Your choices, actions, words, thoughts you think can be consciously created.

When you believe in yourself, have fierce faith, trust your gut no matter what, use your inner and outer resources, and take authentic action, the odds are always in your favor.

My bestie gave me those tulips in the photo above. Notice how they’re all wild and swirly blooming in their own direction. Flowers trust. Nature knows. We all have our own inner compass that always seeks the light. Let that shine within you and grow when called to grow.

How to Avoid Psychic Scams

One day I was at the mall and this woman came up to me, telling me she is psychic and proceeded to give me a cold reading. I stopped her, third eye to third eye, and told her I’m psychic too.

She didn’t have a chance to tell me how I’m cursed and she can remove it for me if I paid her cold hard cash on the spot. Puhleeeze!

If you have been bamboozled by such trickery, I am sorry you had to go through that. With all aspects of life, there is a dark and light side to everything even in the spiritual or personal development community. I choose to be in the light.

Psychic scams are rampant. It pisses me off. They prey on the fearful. Plus when they know how to manipulate another person’s energy, that’s a double whammy.

I’ve had clients who came to me after they have bled thousands on curse removals, love spells and candles being lit. My heart ached for them.

Here are the common psychic scams to look out for.

Curse Removals.
As I shared above, a psychic scammer will come up to you telling you that you are cursed or there’s a spell on you offering to remove it or undo it for a fee. They will want to charge you some crazy price (even in the thousands) for some magic potion or crystal or ritual for it. Don’t do it.

Casting Magic Spells.
Never ever fall for a psychic who claims they can cast a spell to make someone love you, win the lottery, or hire you for a job. It’s ridiculous. No one can wave a magic wand and infringe on another person’s free will. We all have choice and no spell will take that away. Beware of such nonsense.

Death in Your Family is Upon You.
This is the worst one because of course we don’t want anyone to die in our family (well that is if you have a good relationship with your fam bam). The psychic scammer will try to lure you in by predicting that someone in your family is going to die within a certain number of days and if you don’t pay for her magic powers to stop the process then the prediction will come true.

Weird Requests and Getting Feisty.
If a psychic tells you to bring an egg, your mother’s jewelry or some kind of object that she will use to cast a spell on or heal something in your life, please stay away. When you gracefully decline the special services you’re being offered for more money and the psychic gets feisty, angry or starts threatening you with “You’re going to regret it!” then you’ve definitely entered scamville. Intuitive or psychics who are in service for the highest good will always want the best for you and never shame you or fear you into working with them.

A real psychic offers guidance that empowers you to create the best path that aligns with your Soul.

They will never claim to have all the answers or be able to completely fix a situation for you nor will they ever use fear-based tactics to make you feel like your life will fall apart if you don’t use their services. And if they do practice energetic healing work, they are clear in their role as being a catalyst to help release any stagnant energies and ultimately you are the healer of your own body, mind and soul.

Always tune into your intuition when choosing an intuitive or psychic reader or healer. Make sure you resonate with them, do research and stand in your power. You always have the answer you need within. When consulting a psychic, they really are there to validate what you already intuitively know is true.

Freedom is in Your Heart’s Desire

Strip down; get naked and raw with yourself. What do you truly desire? What are you aching to have, be or do?

Dance with that. Indulge in what is emerging from your Soul, through your skin and out into the world.

Freedom is in your heart’s desires. Doing what you love liberates you from future regrets, what if’s, and self imposed boundaries of what is and isn’t possible.

In a conversation with a kindred Soul, I felt a deepening and connection that pulsated through my veins. The energy of love kindled an inner fire within. “I shouldn’t be feeling this good,” a little voice said within.

Truth being, I felt ecstatic.

What was holding me back? In that moment I realized a debilitating fear that overcame me… the reality of having what I desired so deeply. Even if it was a fleeting moment of bliss, it was unsettling. I saw myself behind the bars of my own creation peering out into a life unknown.

If your core desires were handed to you on a silver platter, how much would you graciously receive?

To receive scratches an itch within to experience a feeling we are searching for. In that search, giving is inevitable. We give to ourselves to feel good and that radiates goodness around.

In reflection, the times when I have allowed myself to be open and led by my heart’s rapture, I am free.

And when I don’t, confusion, restriction and victimization ensue.

Take note on what restrictions you have from your desires. With each restriction, breathe into that energy, gently releasing its grip on you. Rather than letting fear embrace you, embrace fear with your desire.

Then go for a second helping off that silver platter.
