Happy Birthday to ME! Weeeeee!  I am 34 years young today.

I looked at myself in the mirror this morning and reflected on the past year, where did my 33^rd year go?  And where am I going next as I turn 34?

Flashes of my past went across my face from childhood to adolescence to now.  Ten years ago, 24 years young, I was teaching high school in Chicago, painting murals and dancing.  I was giving clairvoyant readings and feeling the urge to reinvent myself and move to a new city.  I listened to that calling.

Lived in Tucson.  Now in Vegas.  Closed an old business.  Launched a new one.  Buried dead dreams. Painted new ones.  Traveled to gorgeous lands.  Learned receptivity, living in the flow, and being supported.   My life has evolved spiritually, emotionally and physically.   I’ve died and been reborn over and over again, continuously embarking on new experiences for myself.

Each endeavor calls for reinvention.

To reinvent is to make new.  Scrap the old and start fresh.  Transform.  Give birth.  Revive your Soul.

Growth guides me.  And with growth comes reinvention. You can’t rock new skin when the old just doesn’t fit.

Life, your body, and Soul feels tight, constricted, itchy, and restless.

I asked myself what is it that keeps me going, because there are days when I question the path I have chosen and that has chosen me.  Having your own business, being purposeful, committing to living in Spirit, practicing love, forgiveness and compassion has not been an easy road.  But it has gifted me with the spark to continuously grow and stretch beyond my comfort zone.

You define you.  The life you live is by your design.  Your choices, actions, words, thoughts you think can be consciously created.

When you believe in yourself, have fierce faith, trust your gut no matter what, use your inner and outer resources, and take authentic action, the odds are always in your favor.

My bestie gave me those tulips in the photo above.  Notice how they’re all wild and swirly blooming in their own direction.  Flowers trust. Nature knows.  We all have our own inner compass that always seeks the light.  Let that shine within you and grow when called to grow.

One day I was at the mall and this woman came up to me, telling me she is psychic and proceeded to give me a cold reading.  I stopped her, third eye to third eye, and told her I’m psychic too.

She didn’t have a chance to tell me how I’m cursed and she can remove it for me if I paid her cold hard cash on the spot. Puhleeeze!

If you have been bamboozled by such trickery, I am sorry you had to go through that.  With all aspects of life, there is a dark and light side to everything even in the spiritual or personal development community.  I choose to be in the light.

Psychic scams are rampant.  It pisses me off.  They prey on the fearful.  Plus when they know how to manipulate another person’s energy, that’s a double whammy.

I’ve had clients who came to me after they have bled thousands on curse removals, love spells and candles being lit.  My heart ached for them.

Here are the common psychic scams to look out for.

Curse Removals.
As I shared above, a psychic scammer will come up to you telling you that you are cursed or there’s a spell on you offering to remove it or undo it for a fee.  They will want to charge you some crazy price (even in the thousands) for some magic potion or crystal or ritual for it.  Don’t do it.

Casting Magic Spells.
Never ever fall for a psychic who claims they can cast a spell to make someone love you, win the lottery, or hire you for a job.  It’s ridiculous.   No one can wave a magic wand and infringe on another person’s free will.  We all have choice and no spell will take that away.  Beware of such nonsense.

Death in Your Family is Upon You.
This is the worst one because of course we don’t want anyone to die in our family (well that is if you have a good relationship with your fam bam).  The psychic scammer will try to lure you in by predicting that someone in your family is going to die within a certain number of days and if you don’t pay for her magic powers to stop the process then the prediction will come true.

Weird Requests and Getting Feisty.
If a psychic tells you to bring an egg, your mother’s jewelry or some kind of object that she will use to cast a spell on or heal something in your life, please stay away.  When you gracefully decline the special services you’re being offered for more money and the psychic gets feisty, angry or starts threatening you with “You’re going to regret it!” then you’ve definitely entered scamville.  Intuitive or psychics who are in service for the highest good will always want the best for you and never shame you or fear you into working with them.

A real psychic offers guidance that empowers you to create the best path that aligns with your Soul.

They will never claim to have all the answers or be able to completely fix a situation for you nor will they ever use fear-based tactics to make you feel like your life will fall apart if you don’t use their services.  And if they do practice energetic healing work, they are clear in their role as being a catalyst to help release any stagnant energies and ultimately you are the healer of your own body, mind and soul.

Always tune into your intuition when choosing an intuitive or psychic reader or healer.  Make sure you resonate with them, do research and stand in your power.   You always have the answer you need within.  When consulting a psychic, they really are there to validate what you already intuitively know is true.

Strip down; get naked and raw with yourself.  What do you truly desire?  What are you aching to have, be or do?

Dance with that. Indulge in what is emerging from your Soul, through your skin and out into the world.

Freedom is in your heart’s desires.  Doing what you love liberates you from future regrets, what if’s, and self imposed boundaries of what is and isn’t possible.

In a conversation with a kindred Soul, I felt a deepening and connection that pulsated through my veins.  The energy of love kindled an inner fire within.  “I shouldn’t be feeling this good,” a little voice said within.

Truth being, I felt ecstatic.

What was holding me back?  In that moment I realized a debilitating fear that overcame me… the reality of having what I desired so deeply.  Even if it was a fleeting moment of bliss, it was unsettling.  I saw myself behind the bars of my own creation peering out into a life unknown.

If your core desires were handed to you on a silver platter, how much would you graciously receive?

To receive scratches an itch within to experience a feeling we are searching for.  In that search, giving is inevitable.   We give to ourselves to feel good and that radiates goodness around.

In reflection, the times when I have allowed myself to be open and led by my heart’s rapture, I am free.

And when I don’t, confusion, restriction and victimization ensue.

Take note on what restrictions you have from your desires.  With each restriction, breathe into that energy, gently releasing its grip on you.  Rather than letting fear embrace you, embrace fear with your desire.

Then go for a second helping off that silver platter.

The funny thing about intuition is that when you’re trying to get “unstuck” from a problem you may be experiencing you’ll receive guidance for about one or two next steps on your path.  Yes, that is all.

Action is required to receive your next steps.  Ask.  Intuition talks.  Take action.  Ask again.  Rinse and repeat.

Have you found yourself praying and praying, doing the rain dance and begging the Universe for clarity, only to sit and wait until you have it all figured out before you take action?  Mmmhhhmmm, I’ve done it too.

Intuitive living doesn’t work that way.  Your clarity comes through action.

Last night I had my first USTREAM event and it was awesome.  It was a total intuitive move.  I wanted to connect more with my community and I asked how. Inspiration came through to have a live video stream event.  I can do that, even though it freaks me out.

And then came all the work that had to happen from marketing to figuring out all the technology.  The big day came and I loved it.  I had such a great time, gave readings, talked shop on authenticity, survived several tech difficulties and received wonderful feedback from participants and my bestie who took notes on how to make it better.

Afterwards I felt like I sprouted like a beanstalk with all that I learned about the beautiful ILI community I serve, video streaming, what worked, what didn’t and of course myself.

Then I was up late flooded with all these inspired ideas of different ways I can use this platform to connect even more. Could it be that I’m receiving my next steps?   That’s how intuition works.

There’s no better way to figure out your purpose other than doing it.  If you find yourself constantly wondering “what am I supposed to do with my ______?” (fill in the blank: life, relationship, business, finances etc.), just ask for your next step.

But most importantly take action on the guidance you receive.

I Love Intuition was born out of doing.  Believe me, when I was a kid I didn’t dream up this whole shebang.  I never thought I’d be a professional psychic, intuitive, teacher, artist, all that good stuff.  Oh wait, the only thing I do remember dreaming up was being an artist.

Through listening to my intuition, following my heart, believing in myself (even when people said I was crazy) and taking action is how I got here.

No magic wand.  All trial and error.

What’s your one next step you need to take in an area you feel fuzzy in?  Even if you don’t see the entire path, you’re not supposed to.  It’s always revealed.

I was having a convo with my girl, the pleasure catalyst Kerrie Blazek, crackin’ up and catching up on our businesses.

She said something beautiful that stuck with me.

When you love your business, it’s just like being in love.

‘Tis true. We geeked out.  When you’re in love you’ll pretty much do anything, travel several hours to see each other, stay up into the wee hours of the morning on the phone and make time for a quickie.

To the outside world, when I’m in major enthusiastic mode in my business, I can look like a workaholic.  Creating graphics on the weekends, testing opt-in forms at 2am, outlining new classes and the list goes on.  But in my reality, it doesn’t even feel like “work”.  It really feels like being in love.

I fall asleep listening to my fave Robert Ohotto, cuddled up on the couch with online marketing videos, and travel 2500 miles to New York city for business pow wows.  Time expands.  Our connection deepens.

Feeling in alignment with your purpose is love.  

Loving your business is essential to making it through the hurdles of failure, challenges, successes and growth.

Without love, there’s no commitment.  And that’s a recipe for failure.

A few tricks to stay gaga eyed for each other. 

Know what you’re creating together.  Pillow talk about the future.  Your desires and daydreams.

Be adventurous. Take a chance on teaching a new class or get on stage.  The same old routine can make you restless.  Get innovative, kinky, and risky.

Say I Love You.  Often.  When I’m in love, I just want to say it. I don’t care if the other person says it back.  I can be doing the dishes and he can be sitting on the couch and I get this feeling of love overwhelm me.  The expression bubbles up from the center of my Soul and just wants to be expressed.  Let it. Words carry powerful energy.  Love begets love.

This past weekend, TRUTH came knocking on my door, I opened, got curious and found out more.

But damn, sometimes I wonder, did I even have to go there?

Well of course, especially when your intuition guides you to gain a deeper understanding of your path.

Again, like authenticity, it’s not always cotton candy clouds against a bright blue sky.

This new revelation left me shocked, dismantled, relieved and grateful. To spare the details, I experienced a shattering of trust. I was livid.

And I let myself be livid. Huffed and puffed, screamed, cried and let fury course through my body. I said out loud to myself “Forgiveness will come later, but right now I am freakin’ pissed.”

You cannot come to a place of true forgiveness unless you allow yourself to feel the emotions related to the person or situation you are trying to make peace with.

I see people get all hung up and ego crazy over the Law of Attraction saying “Oh I can’t be angry or sad because I’ll manifest more of that in my life.”

Funk that! I call bullshit. You have to feel. Your intuition lies underneath your emotions, the wisdom to move forward resides in that quiet space within. But in order to get there, you must embody what you’re feeling in the moment. Many want to bypass this (oh including myself!), but what actually happens is you suppress it even more.

If forgiveness isn’t working, or you’re saying affirmations on forgiveness or trying to “think” your way out of feeling bitter or angry. Then connect back to your body and feel your way through.

Presence is the path to for-giving.

It’s a process. But remember: feel first, then forgive.

Authenticity is a buzz word nowadays. We hear, see it and speak about it all the time. At least I know I do and the circle of people around me do too.

I did a little digging into the word. Webster defines it as: true to one’s own personality, spirit, or character.

Greek origin of the word is authentikós: original, primary, genuine.

My definition: being present to the truth of who you are in the moment.

Key phrase being “in the moment”. You are forever changing. Who you have been for years may no longer be you in the moment.

As much as we want to sugar coat this buzz word of authenticity, it’s not always flowers and roses and sexy dresses.

There are days when you’re lacing up hikers and filling up your backpack with survival of the fittest gear to get you to the other side.

A high price is paid for living in this way. Yet the outcomes are indeed priceless.

To understand authenticity, you’ve got to know yourself. Stripped free from the should’s and have to’s and ought to’s and mama said it’s best to’s.

Then stand in the power of your truth.

It’s revealing, vulnerable, and can feel as if you are a hyper realistic nude painting displayed in the grand entrance of the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Some will love you, other’s won’t. You’ll have gawkers, gaspers, admirers, lovers, imitators, loathers and passerby’s who don’t even turn an eye.

Let’s get real with the down and dirty of being authentic.

Friends come and go. I’ve had loooong lasting friendships where I thought we’d be rockin’ them rocking chairs Cracker Barrel style. Yet the path of authenticity nudged me to let go of the ones that just didn’t jive with the life I wanted to create. And with some I wasn’t being treated with love, respect and just great friendedness. (yes, I just made up that word.) Easy to do – hell no. Worth it – absolutely and mighty grateful for the connection and the disconnection.

Get ready for Judgement. You’re always going to be judged no matter what.  Get over it. Once you do, you have the freedom to just be.

Family may just not get you.  Every single person in your life, especially your family has a perception and picture of you. They see you through their own belief systems and many times want you to be a certain way. When you don’t conform to their picture of you, it can send them into a tizzy. If you were used as the scapegoat growing up and finally learn to say no to the drama and stand up for yourself, that can be a blow in the face to them. Don’t try to get them to understand you. Live by example, it speaks louder than words.

Relationships and Love can shift. Authenticity has cost me my marriage. The path of my heart led elsewhere and listening to that quiet voice was a tough decision I grappled with for years. Grief, sadness, pain – oh fo’ sho’!  Now on the other side, I am deeply humbled for the journey, lessons learned and uber ecstatic in creating anew.

You’ve got to LOVE both. The dark and light sides of this journey. And be willing to accept that a path of light will uncover the dark.

So yea, you lose a couple peeps here and there, your job or maybe what you thought you had created in business is no longer authentic and you want to go in a totally new direction. Pay the price of loss.

The gain will remain in your heart.
